Franchise Renewal Specialist

Department: Franchise Administration
Location: Woodbury, MN

Purpose Brands, the parent company of Orangetheory, Anytime Fitness, Waxing the City, The Bar Method, Basecamp Fitness, and Stronger U is seeking a Franchise Renewal Specialist to join its team. Through high touch communication and client relationship management, you will work closely with our existing franchisees to secure their re-investment with our brands through renewal of their Franchise Agreements and deliver successful renewal rates which contribute to positive contract lifetime value and minimize attrition for Purpose Brands, LLC. Additionally, you will be responsible for anticipating risk, identifying opportunities to streamline the process, and improve communication touchpoints with internal and external stakeholders.

Purpose/Impact: (Duties & Essential Functions)

  • Effectively manage territory pipelines of 150+ and guide franchisees through the end-to-end Franchise Agreement Renewal process and attain successful on-time franchise agreement renewals and meet or exceed yearly renewal rate goals and renewal revenue goals.
  • Serve as single point of contact and build strong relationships by becoming a trusted champion for Franchisees within the Franchise Agreement Renewal process.
  • Navigate the Franchise Disclosure Document and the Franchise Agreement renewal terms to reestablish the brand value proposition and evolution.
  • Professionally engage with Franchisees through clear, timely, and various communication channels to discuss and overcome objections updated in the contract terms such as pricing or requirements due post renewal.
  • Proactive pipeline management execution through consistent follow-up regarding deliverables, timelines, and deadlines.
  • Identify risks/concerns/opportunities and overcome objections that may result in Franchise attrition and escalate when appropriate.
  • Lead complex conversations, make decisions and problem solve independently or using information from others, data, and feedback while providing an empathetic experience.
  • Provide excellent communication to both the Franchisees and internal corporate teams.
  • Cross functional partnership and collaboration with Resale team, Real Estate, Store Development Remodels, Construction, Brand Protection, Franchise Business Consultants, and other Franchise Administration teams based on the renewal path.
  • Draft, send, and collect franchise Intent to Renew documents for all renewal transactions in the per your territory pipeline.
  • Collect any updated entity documents and update administrative information collected per your territory pipeline.
  • Send and collect franchise agreement renewal documents to Franchisees with renewing transactions on schedule per your territory pipeline.
  • Process all documents for renewals, enter new information into CRM and renewal fees per your territory pipeline.
  • Provide regular and scheduled feedback/reports to the team and other departments.
  • Work closely with the legal department to request the appropriate legal documents to renew or amend Franchise Agreements per your territory.

  • Collaborative individual with strong attention to detail, team player mentality, positive attitude with the ability to learn quickly and easily adapt to a dynamic work environment is a must.
  • Must be flexible, empathetic, have excellent problem-solving, time management and administrative skills.
  • Excellent computer skills with the ability to work with multiple technology platforms simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). CRM and DocuSign systems familiarity.

Background:

  • Minimum 2-year college degree or higher preferred.
  • 3-5 years of business-related experience, legal, franchise, customer success renewal or account management.
  • Franchise experience is a plus.

Salary Range: $58k - $62k
